A New Pumpkin-y Twist on an Old Favorite
Everyone knows about the awesome baking soda and vinegar volcanoes, but what if it were fall themed?
Things you'll need:
1. A pumpkin that you're happy to carve (preferably one that is not too big)
2. Carving utensils
3. Baking soda
4. Vinegar
5. Food coloring
So how does it work?
Steps:
1. Carve your pumpkin. Make a scary face, a happy face, or even something that's not a face - it's whatever you want!
2. Put about 4 tablespoons of baking soda into the pumpkin
3. Add the food coloring
4. Add the vinegar
5. Watch the pumpkin erupt the vinegar and baking soda from it's mouth!
**Please note: this experiment will get messy. You may want to conduct it outside or on a drop cloth.
Have fun!
